Why sisal?
Sisal is a natural fibre extracted from the leaves of Agave Sisalana, which is a drought-resistant plant native to Mexico. This material is not just sustainable and renewable, but also compostable and biodegradable. It is also known for its strength and durability.
A single leaf of the Agave Sisalana plant produces around 1,000 fibers, while the rest of the plant is used to feed farm animals or generate electricity, ensuring that no parts of the plant is gone to waste.
